I am converting a v6 89 Camaro to a 355 TBI. I used a 1991 305 TBI as a donor car for all the wiring and everything. Unfortunatly the 91 gages dont fit in the 89 dash and the 91 dash dosnt fit in the car (yes GM changed how it mounted) I would like to change the wire patern on the plugs that go into the back of the gage cluster so I can use a mid 80s IROC cluster I have. It is wired diferent, when I turn the left turn signal the ebrake light blinks.

So I am asking if anyone has or knows were I can get the wiring diagram with the plug patern for the 91 RS and a Mid 80s IROC.

You can find a lot of diagrams on the ATGO wiring diagrams page. It also contains the 90-92 cluster connector pinouts (my own work ).

You should be able to get that 91 dash into that 89. It fit in my 84, some of the mounting tabs were located in different spots, but I was able to make it work.

Trying to put that 91 cluster into the older style dash is going to be a lot of work. I remember there was a guy on here that did it, and had some pics posted. But I think he had to basically rewire the whole dash, much more work then doing what I did.

From what I remember, he had to make a plastic plate to cover the lower portion of the cluster. If you look on the 91 cluster you'll see a line that says 'not visible' That's where he had to put the plate.
