85 to 86 harness

Transmission: 700-r4
85 to 86 harness
am i going to have problems taking the harness off my 85 z parts car and installing it on my 86 z. i am talking about from the ecm to under the hood are the plugs the same [they look the same] iv'e heard the 85 is the only one that has something different. the reason i want to do this is the 86 is really messed up a bunch of splices and stuff missing. help! tom
