fusible link? no lights, cig lighter...

I plugged in an apparently faulty cell-phone charger into the cigarette lighter in my 1988 IROC, and it seems to have blown a fuse or fusible link somewhere-no headlights, no lighter, no electric mirrors, and who knows what else I haven't discovered yet. Looked at the fuse panel under the dash and there are no blown fuses. Anyone know where else to look? thanks in advance!

He said that he checked all of the fuses. I don't understand how the cigarette lighter has anything to do with the headlights.

When my dome light and radio don't work, I know my fuse is blown.. it should be a 25 amp fuse, I would double check.

Get a test light out as well, turn the ignition on and start testing fuses, the left side of the fuse should be hot, and if the light does not light up on the right side of the fuse, it's blown.

Testing them with a test light is much better than just looking at them.

There should also be a fusible link by your battery, and I think there are 2 down by the starter? But those should cause the whole car to be completely dead.

solution..

the fusible link in question is next to the starter motor. My mechanic suspected it was there but didn't have a lift free when I stopped by in the AM. Later that afternoon we put the car on the lift and changed it, now all is well.
