Car will not start!

So my car was having a lot of heat soak problems where i would drive it till it got hot then when i shut it off it wouldn't start for a few hours. And then one day it wouldn't start at all so i replaced the starter and wrapped it with heat wrap and i put a metal heat shield on the selanoid. And now after doing all of that my car still will not start! I found the relay on the driver side kick panel that is part of the ignition and it wasn't moving when i turned the key so i replaced that too. But that didn't solve the problem, I manually moved the relay with a screw driver and the motor cranks but it doesn't start! I'm not sure what is going on i feel like I'm missing a small detail. I didn't have any starting problems before this all happened. Please help thanks

Can anybody tell me what the main parts to the ignition system are? Please? I checked for spark im getting that, Im getting fuel, but something in between the ignition swith and the relay that activates the starter is bad. I can turn the key and manually move the relay and the car will turn over but will not start. so the key isnt turning on something. please any input would help im stumped thanks guys.

Don't rule out fuel just yet. Did you get a pressure reading off the fuel rail? If it's not up to spec, the engine won't start/run. Also, you will need to make sure you are getting injector pulse (noid light). You really need a wiring diagram to trace out power with ign switch on. I could only find generic diagrams on AutZone's site, but you need a chassis specific one.
Wish I could help further,
Corky

check for spark, if you have no spark then replace the coil.

I checked for spark and I definetly have it. I checked the voltage on the battery and it does say 12 volts. Im just not sure why my key isnt firing the starter... the only way i can get the starter to do anything is if i manually move the relay. Im off to autozone right not to get a book i will give you an update tonight thanks for the help guys.
