I've had several customers that had this problem of the headlight buckets rising when they push the parking lights on. They repaired their headlight motors using one of my 209280 or 207280 headlight repair kits and it solved the problem. They hadn't bought the kit to solve this problem, their headlight motors were likely also displaying other symptoms that led them to buy the headlight repair kit. I just wanted to share the feedback I've received from my customers. My theory of why the problem exists and why the kits solve it involves the headlight control module.

well mine are funky as well, but if i just push the switch, the running light and head lights come on, but stay down. just gotta push the switch half way to get the lights to come up. but i can turn my running lights on with out the headlights coming up. maybe its just cause my motors are going out, i dunno.
