HELP!

I was getting ready to go through a car wash, and i was rolling my window back up and it just stopped!

half way up it just stopped!

now, sometimes this happens and i have to wiggle the switch back and forth in the housing. and it goes... no problem

but this time it didnt work, i really hope its not the motor, cause it has worked perfectly fine-kinda slow, but worked- and then all the sudden, BAM nothing...

i tried switching the switches passenger/driver to see if it was just the switches...nothing

i tried jumping a combination of the connections with the switch out of the socket, nothing but some sparks when i attached the pink and blue, but no other combination worked, not diagonal, not 3 at a time, well not with pink and blue in that trio...

can someone please help!

even if you can just tell me how to get my window up! cause i dont live in that great of a neighboorhood, so i already took everything out of my car, even the t-tops, cause i know those are expensive...

try replacing the switch, the contacts inside wear out sometimes. or if you dont push the button all the way sometimes it wont work properly, its stupid but you should just replace the switch.

Check for power on the pink wire at both switches with a test light. Fuse could be blown. Check to make sure ground wire(black wire) has good contact with the body somewhere.

Otherwise you will have to pull the panel off to check the window motor.

im goin now

ill go check the power situation now...

i guess the thing that got me was that the other window works fine, so thats y i switches in the first place, and the passenger window does work with the drivers side switch, so i know its not that.

its either power, or motor, and im praying its power!

Thanks again for the help!

i got nothin...

i went out with a test light, and found out what i already knew... the pink is power, and the black is ground, and i can only assume that the other 2 wires activate it to go up and down... just not sure what needs to be done to activate them...

im on my way out, ill try some other stuff...

is there a remote fuse for the motors? cause there isnt one labled on my fuse block...

thanks again!

i think i got it now

i have, i think, unfortunalty determined it is the motor

i have checked power flow from both windows, passenger and driver, with the passenger one working, and they both line up exactly the same...

like this:

this one is with the switch pushed UP:

this one is with the switch pushed DOWN:

note: the passenger switch has different colored wires...but they do the same thing

*sorry so crude*

im going to go buy a new motor from advance, i know that they arent the greatest qualilty, but i need it now so i cant really wait for a mail order...

thanks again for all the help! and i hope these diagrams help ppl in the future!
