Rear Hatch wont go down

Hey guys, first off ill start by saying I did search this but found nothing. My rear hatch motor on my 91 GTA wont go down, ive tried hitting the button and it doesnt do anything. Its just stuck up. Any ideas?

Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: unknown and 4:10 with locker
you probable have a bad motor, blown fuse, or bad relay. i would guess that it is the motor since i haven't heard anything about the relay going bad.

Nothin it just clicks to unlock the hatch. It will open with the key but thats it, looks stupid as hell driving arround with that thing 1 inch above the rest of the car.

Ive had the same problem, Check er fuses first. Here's how i fixed mine. one of the wires came off. red to blue or something. Try pressing the black switch thing right infront of the thing that the thing laches into. Wow that was really vague, sorry but my brain is shot today. but ya Theres a, ah, you know the bar thing on the trunk that it latches into, theres a leaver thing that gets triggered when the trunk is lowered. so ,ya that might be the problem, or your (trunk) motor is blown.

Check that you have power at the red/white stripe wire. It also could be the striker-sensing switch is bad.
