headlight relay question
ive got a 91' formula and i just replaced the headlight motors in it. problem is im no longer getting power to the motors. i followed the wiring up to the relay but the relay isnt getting power either. i cant seem to find any fuses that connect to this issue even though my haynes manual says there's two 15a fuseable links in the "underhood electrical control box" and my car doesnt have one at least as far as i can tell. anyone have any knowlege on this? i'd be greatful for some help!

Wrong manual. You need a 1991 Firebird Service Manual (aka HELMS manual). It has the complete wiring schematic and troubleshoot guide for the headlight motor circuit. The manual is available used on eBay or new from www.helminc.com. The wiring is different than what is in my 88 Firebird Service Manual, so I can't help.

Did you ever find that fuse location. I have a 92 bird and was doing the same thing today . The haynes manual shows a convience center in it . I couldn't find it for the life of me . Thats not a inline fuse is it? I kinda scratched my head on this one owned the car for 15 years and couldn't figure out where the fuse was.

Actually yeah i did find it . its not an inline fuse though. you have to look under the dash to the right of the steering wheel ( as if you were sitting in the car) and theres another box that has your buzzer seatbelt noise maker and one other relay and the two fuses are there by their lonesome. easiest way to find it is leave the car off and turn on the headlights and follow the sound. hope this helps!
