Power Windows Operation Speed

I just converted my 83 to power windows using parts from a donor car. The windows seem to be slower than they should. I timed them at 4-1/2 seconds.

How fast are the windows in your cars? I tested them prior to installing by connecting them straight to the battery and the speed was identical, so I'm sure there isn't a voltage drop issue.

Thanks!

Larry

thats actually about right

the windows on our cars are pretty big and heavy

i put a brand new motor on the passenger side and it still takes about 5 seconds, the driver side is the old motor and is still almost identical

and on top of that electric motors dont last forever, they do wear down and wear out and go bad, new ones are faster, dont plan on old ones lasting forever

good luck
