Re: digital dash odometer

There is some kind of a bulb behind that area, I noticed it when my dash was apart.

Dont know if there is a tiny one back there, but there is a big one I know of.

Re: digital dash odometer

there have been many people with this prob. including me.there has been problems fixed with the little bulbs you speak of.have you tried a search for your prob.? i had no help trying to repair an 89 digital dash with squirrels living in the dash.so i yanked everything and swapped in a standard firebird dash and gauges.my digital dash set-up is still laying on the garage floor where its been for over a year.the cluster pieces may be good, but didn't want to take achance with it cuz of all the problems i've seen and read about.don't let my rambling scare you though, many people have had no prob. with theirs at all. if you want acluster to play with and check thoroughly, let me know, you can have mine

Timmys89GTA, Do you still have the digital dash? I need to repair my 88 GTA's dash but am reluctant to take it apart. I would like to get one to look at. Please let me know. Dave

Re: digital dash odometer

I have a problem with the light behind my Oil/Coolant/Battery gauge not working when I turn my headlights on, I originally posted a thread about it in Eletronics and no one answered, so I posted one in Interior and got some responses. Jim85IROC responded to me saying "The digital dash is backlit with normal 194 bulbs. Some of the smaller indicators are a smaller bulb whose number escapes me" in this thread
I don't know if it will help you since I have yet to try to get back there but atleast that's some confirmation there are normal bulbs in some spots back there, or maybe he can help you, or try the Interior forum.
