MSD Ignition Help
i got a 92 305 TBI, iam going to switch to a carb, but my question is i plan on buying a full MSD igniton kit that comes with everything, but what exactly does the ignition box hook up too? i have no clue about ignition system and would liek to learn more about hooking one up

If you're going to switch to a carb, then you'll want the HEI dist. with vaccum advance, and not the later electronically controlled unit. Then you can bypass the ignition module inside the dist. The 6A and 6AL both have a connector and wire harnes that connects straight to the pick up in the dist. Then get the Blaster internal coil, (45,000 volts and stronger voltage above 4500 rpms) the MSD wires, (50 Ohms per foot!!!!) and you should be good to go. The installation is very straight forward, and easy.
I have a 6AL in my Nova, with an HEI dist, and an Accel coil in the cap, a 6A in my Firebird, with the Blaster coil adn the MSD wires, and I'm going to be putting a 6A in my girls Civic.
BTW, the only difference with the 6A, and AL is that the AL has a rev limiter
I'm a GM, MSD and Flowmaster fan till death!!
