STOP THE BUZZING!

ok, I have a 1985 Camaro 2.8 MPFI.

I hate the damn buzzing sound when the key is on or my seatbelt is unhooked. So... is there a simple way of unhooking it or not? I know nothing of ignitions...so bear with me.

I'd rather have no buzz than any buzz at all!

Unplug the warning module from the convenience center under the dash. Just make sure you don't leave your headlights on or leave the key in the ignition afterwards.

Re: STOP THE BUZZING!

Yea. It's a big ugly unit with (I think) eight pins coming off the bottom. I pulled it, and it felt good. Then I realized that I've left my lights on with that thing going before. So I promptly plugged it right back in. You could set it up so that it gets a false signal from the key and the seatbelt (You should be wearing your seatbelt!) and thinks that both are always fine, that way you retain headlight warnings.
