12V source

I am having to wire up guages. Where can i get a 12v source at? People say the fuse box...what in a fuse box has a 12v source that i can tap?

Personally I think I would wire it up to the guages fuse if you are replaceing the original. If you are adding guages an ohmmeter or a test light will tell you which terminals are key powered. Use any one that's not being used.

Its just my tachometer. Its an aftermarket tach i bought, and it calls for a 12v fused source with key in the 'on' position. Im guessing i can tie it into ANY source that powers in the on or does it have to be one of the empty slots?

Voltmeter, not ohmmeter.

I hate it when the keyboard writes what I tell it instead of what I mean.

I would suggest an empty slot to make sure you have cleaner power less chance of a possible problem later..

Problem solved guys. I did forget to mention that this is a car with NO dash or console in it. (race car) so i dont have to go to the fuse box. I went straight to the connectors that Used to plug intoo the back of my cluster.
