very strange (HELP)

I just bought a 89 GTA 5.7. Installed a new crate motor from GM I am having some very strange wiring issues. I got a code 33 which is a MAF code, did the procudure for checking it out from alldata and it said that the blue burn wire should have 0 volts with the sensor disconnected. It has 3 volts all the time, even with both relays disconnected. Now heres the wierd part, when the key is turned on the fuel pump runs sometimes for 1 second or 4 seconds or sometimes not at all. I was getting out and hit the seat control with my foot it cycled the fuel pump like when you turn the key on. It will do that every time you push the seat button. So if theres anyone that might be able to help I would be greatly appreciated.

Craig

Sounds like maybe you have some shorted wires. Did you pinch any wires any place wile doing the swap? When you did the swap, was it outside? Did rain or alot of water get into the engine bay while doing the swap? Corrosion will do some strange sht.

Re: very strange (HELP)

The engine was a very easy intsall, no pinched wires, no water it was done in a shop. IM a master technition so its not some shade tree doing the work. The engine is a stock L98 so there shouldnt be an issue with the engine. Just some wierd issues I havent seen before.

I didn't know GM made a brand new L98. Where did you get it from?
