Does anyone know why most of the replacement headlight switches are the wrong color? I've looked up AC Delco, Standard and another called Airtex and only the Airtex has the correct Grey/Black coloring, where the others are all straight black. Wasn't straight black for Camaros or earlier models?

I've checked AC Delco's site, Rockauto, a parts store, etc and most all are that all black color. Mine's worn down and glitchy which is why I'm replacing it. I'd prefer to use AC Delco, but I guess I'll have to take the Airtex one to keep the correct coloring.

 

I got a new one from my local AC delco dealer for my 91 formula. The original that I took out was all black and the new one that I put in was all black.

 

Very odd. My original is Grey in the upper left section, the upper right and lower is all black. Same with my previous 91 TA. I wonder if it's some odd Trans Am thing. Not sure this will work, but mine looks like this.
