Headlights go out

When I put my headlights on high beam the headlights go out but they work just fine on low beam what is the problem?????? My car is a 1986 Camaro Sport Coupe.

Transmission: TH350 w/ 3000 stall convertor

Axle/Gears: 3.73 w/ powertrax locker

more than likely your high beams are burned out. Unless you've wired it up so both lights stay on at the same time.
