Sensor locations iroc-z

Can anyone tell me where the sensors are for the temp. gauge and the temp sensor for the cooling fans? I've got a 87 Camaro IROC-z TPI

Re: Sensor locations iroc-z

The temp gauge sensor is in the driver side head, between first two spark plugs.

The ECM temp sensor is in the front of the block, just below the intake and throttle body. The ECM controls the primary fan exclusively.

The temp switch for the secondary fan is in the passenger side head between the last two spark plugs (accessible from underneath). It turns the secondary fan on when the temp in the head reaches something like 235 degrees F (somebody please correct me, I can't remember exactly). Also, the A/C pressure switch controls this fan.

Hope this helps.
