Where is the cluster(gauge lights) fuse?
Last night, I was working on hooking up my 4th Gen center console, and trying to get both cigarette lighters to work. I hooked one up temporarily to the gear indicator light (its an auto shift plate. At night, I go to turn on the lights and everything comes on (outside headlights and foglights) but my cluster does not light up. None of it. So I disconnected and undid the cigarette lighter set up, but no luck. I believe I possibly blew a fuse. The reason I believe is because my "Service Engine Light" still works (comes on when the key in the acc position) and my "Brake" light comes on if I engage the e-brake. I looked in the fuse panel and checked every single fuse. And they are all good. I even replaced a couple of "questionable" fuses just in case. There is a spot on the panel, near the top that says "cluster 10". I tried to insert a "10" fuse but there is no metal clips in the spot so I the fuse doesn't go there. Is there something I'm missing? My gauges still work fine, its only the lights that do not come on. Is the light fuse somewhere else? please help if you have any info or similar experience. Thanks.
ps. I did try the "search" option but was not able to find my answers...

I am having the EXACT same problem, minus the 4th gen dash.
My gauges work great, but all the sudden the back lights are out. They don't light up under any circumstance.

Re: Where is the cluster(gauge lights) fuse?
The insturment lamps are fed from the 5 amp "INST" or "INST LPS" fuse, via the TAIL fuse and the headling switch.
Back Up lamps are fed from the Turn-B/U Fuse, 20 Amp
TAIL Fuse, 20 Amp, feeds the reaminder of the tail lights, except the turn signals, which are fed from the Turn-B/U fuse.
