As some here know, I have had a hell of a time with my wiring in my Z. My current problem is that when I step on my brakes, my marker lights come on. If my fog light switch is in the on position, my fog lights come on. And if that was not bad enough, my dash lights light up every freaking time I hit the brakes

My car is not holding an idle for more than 30 seconds and is running like dodo! I really think it is a wiring issue. Pretty soon, it's gonna be a slege hammer or pick head axe issue

Can anyone help me find my short! I've my entire dash torn apart, the wiring diagram on auto zone is not the same as my car! I do see a brown wire that goes to the components, but the brown wire I found goes toward teh computer

You found a good thread. I was just about to recommend checking the tail bulbs. That's one easy way to get brake lights and parking lights connected. Other that that, there aren't many places where the brake light wires (light blue) can come in contact with the parking light wires (brown).

Btw, you didn't say what year of your Z28. It's good to put it at least in your profile, you'd get better help if we knew what model/year/engine we're looking at.

Lou, Ty for the advise. I will get around to entering my info as soon as I fix my Z. 91 Z28.

Well, my tail light was the problem. I changed it, now my lighting problem is fixed. Now I gotta get it running

I hope this info helps someone in the future and they don't tear their dash out of thier car like I did
