Glow gauges
What is the best way to wire reverse glow gauges for the safest and cleanest install, any input would be great.
Does anyone have pictures of there glow gauges installed? A day time and night time shot would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a pic of where you mounted the inverter swtch.

Re: Glow gauges
I have a link for the only reverse glow gauges I found for a Trans Am but I havent seen a set for a camaro honestly double sided sticky tape works well if you have a set already its easy to disassemble the dash to get it out and its not that complicated so I dont know what the problem would be the inverter switch could be mounted under the dash but havent gotten around to do it because Im in the process of replacing my gauge cluster all together with one that Im fiberglassing myself.

Re: Glow gauges
Well depending on how good you are at wireing (and I just though of this today so dont quote me on it) Im assumming its just a on off swich for the gauges to make it look factory pop off the headlight switch and wire it into that circuit that way when your running lights/head lights come on so do your reverse glow gauges. But honestly if you dont want to do it that way if the wire is long enough just run it through the back of the console (with it off there should be a place to plug it in at assumming you have electronic guages and not the mechanical ones which Ive never delt with) just run it out that hole or one of the others to choose from and that will drop it right out under the steering wheel or so it should in theory lol with my luck it would come out the ac vent or something but good luck and lets see some pics of the install when you get around to it. I always love seeing other peoples work.

Re: Glow gauges
No sorry no photos besides from experiance glow gauges look diffrent depending on what you get and what the companys idea of what a reverse glow guage looks like compared to yours lol. I would take one but my dash is removed as Im getting ready to install a new set of Autometer gauges in its place and Im finishing up my fiberglass dash cover for it now. These where the ones I had in before the dash came out. http://www.procarparts.com/store-det...82FB%2D1740RGX just to give you an idea of what I had. I just ran it to the running light switch and treated it as if it was stock. The dimmer switch I ran down to right by the fuse box and its hidden well and isnt too hard to get to. Hope that helps.
