Autometer Dash
I am interested in installing autometer gauges in my dash... however I notice that most people cut holes in there dash and set gauges in. That looks great but what I am interested in doing is removing autometer sport comp 5" gauges from there gauge cups and installing the gauge face and mechanism in place of the original 86 Cluster, and then putting that behind the original plastic face and metal bezel. Is this possible? Has it been done? Does anyone know the exact measurements of the gauge faces on the 5" autometer speedometer and tach?

Re: Autometer Dash
Why not go with a Covens Classic dash which are made specifically to accept Auto Meter gauges?

That's the point I was trying to make. The covan's classic dash has the gauges set in... I am looking to put the gauges behind the original cluster face plate and plastic screen.
