hello all, just got the car back on the road. a bought a new battery and put it in. so i know the battery isn't the problem. so here is what's happening. with the car off, when i open my door or pull out the lights everything if fine no flickering of lights, but when the car is ON and open the door the dome flicker as well as at night when i turn on my lights(dash lights)everything flickers with the stereo OFF? what could be the problem? engine grounds loose, if so where are the location of the grounds?, alternator issues.......if alternator issue can i check it with a voltmeter?

Hey i too have that same problem... my dad told me that it was a ground wire loose but im looking for other answers too....

hey, someone told me about the grounds being the main reason, but why would't the lights flicker with the car off? the lights r still be grounding. maybe there is a loose ground somewhere. i wonder how many grounds there are in the car and where the locations r?

 

Im not really sure... i figure that the lights dont flicker until the cars started because the idle vibrates them slightly loose due to the emgine movement... I will try to find out where the grounds are. If i find it ill let ya kno. Mabye someone else will have other ideas or info
