guages not working...

I've recently rebuilt the top end of my motor and did away with the computer. guages still worked after computer was gone. after getting the engine all together and running good I was tightening up the exhaust, got into the car...and the guages weren't working(except the speedo of course). The lights worked, but no guages. the IGN slots in my fuse pannel also stopped working at the same time. there are no blown fuses. even replaced a few I was iffy on. still nothing. anyone have a clue where I should start to look?

Re: guages not working...

Could be either a ground wire loose or one of the orange wires that connects to the big post on the starter is not connected. When working on the exhaust, it's a common thing to remove temporarily. Check that you have two terminals with orange wires connected to the big starter post and look for ground straps/wires and wiggle them.
