VSS connection for a 305 TPI / th400 combo?
I have a 305 TPI from an '86 T/A that I've put in a 85 pickup. I left the turbo 400 transmission in the the truck and I'm not sure what I need to do to get the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) hooked up. At first I thought I wouldn't need it, but after some research I found that it sends a signal back to the ECM which is needed for the engine to run at peak performance. Any ideas? I'm not sure where to start with it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I finally found a VSS that worked for my application, I got it from jagsthatrun.com, it is an adapter type that installs where the speedo cable would go, then the cable plugs into this sensor. Works great!
