Re: Trunk latch got broke!
can you hear the pull down motor running?
it could be a fuse, something unplugged, the sensing switch, a broken pull down gear, along with a few other things.
what ever it is, tops down probably has the parts you need.

the plastic guides breaking can cause other damage, so its probably a good ideal to get a set of those too when you find whats wrong.

Re: Trunk latch got broke!
i checked the fuses last night, not all of them though. there isn't exactally one labled "trunk latch" :P
no i dont hear the motor either. i realize it could be alot of things, considering the trunk light doesn't work, and i dont even hear the motor. you would think if it was just all bent up the motor would try to work but couldnt cause it was all effed up right?

PUT A LID ON IT
"whoever it was at maaco slammed my trunk and broke it"
==========================================
If it’s in pieces you must repair or replace.
However from your description it sounds like
the “trained professional” caused it to
pull down sans lid.
If it’s in one piece:
On the aft of the main assembly
is an activator
( toggle mechanism ) that can be accessed
with a screwdriver.
Flipping this up will cause the unit to raise
up to meet the door.
==================================
"oh it was that way when you brought it here"
==================================
"i checked the fuses last night, not all of them though.

==================================
There are 2 fuses involved with the pull-down unit.
“LID” ”ACC”
.
Happy Racing !
