Re: headlight motor woes
was the motor new or used and in good working condition? I replaced both in my 89 t/a... I have run into motors that were supposed to be good and did not last too long

Re: headlight motor woes
motor's in good working condition. it goes up and seems like it gets stuck when it's all the up. I'll shut off the switch and it won't go down but if I move it manually it goes down. here's the other kicker if I turn it on and don't let the light's go all the way up and turn it back off it works just fine. So yeah I'm kinda stumped.

I think we need some more thoughts on this from other people but could the linkage or motor be hanging up somehow in the open or up position?

Re: headlight motor woes
I've got the same problem, but it's opening that sticks.
I think the motor/headlight assembly is mounted wrong.
When the light reaches the full up or down position it's supposed to stop and the rotor in the motor (that's fun to say aloud) actually moves vertically to engage the power cut-off in that direction. The problem here is that the light itself isn't travelling far enough but the motor/arm is being extended past it's limit. The only thing I can think of is to realign the components or find a way to shorten the travel of the arm (I tried taping things onto the stopper on the inside of the headlight ***'y - you can see it where the arm rests in the closed position - but they wouldn't stay in place too long.)
EDIT: The *** part is supposed to be the abbreviation of assembly... oops
