swapping out auto harness to 5 speed.
the harness i have now is a very chopped auto so i got a 5 speed one. my car has power windows/mirrors and locks, the 5 speed harness does not. whats the easiest way to add the power acc wires to the new harness? also i have my interior apart and noticed the power acc wires seem to go under the drivers seat? do they find their way to the fusebox that way?

It'd be MUCH easier to splice in the connections necessary for the 5 speed.

Re: swapping out auto harness to 5 speed.
I might be of some help here;
I've seen more than my share of firebird dash harnesses and everyone I have seen has provisions for both automatics and Standard transmissions. ( A Park Neutral plug and a clutch pedal plug. ) The fact that your new harness is from a 5 speed should not mean anything.
If you have an Orange wire running under your seat than it's most likely the power seat wiring.
The Power Window and Power lock harness is an INDEPENDENT harness from the Dash harness. You can completely remove the original dash housing/harness without interfering with the current power window/ lock system. All you need to do is unplug the power leads at the junction box behind the drivers side kick panel. Here is a picture of the junction box with the fuse box leads attached: Orange = Hot at all rimes ( Locks ) and Pink is switched power ( Windows. )

Now that the original dash housing/harness is removed pull the junction box wires from the back of the fuse box and place them into the fusebox of the new dash harness. Pull the circuit breakers ( look like silver fuses ) from the old fuse box and place them into the new harness. Install the new harness onto the dash housing & Reinstall the dash housing/harness. Plug the leads back into the junction box.
Swap complete.
P.S. I'm not sure what year the Firebird changed it's interior set-up..... My comments are directed at 85 and up; Till the change in dash set-ups !! I've never "operated" on a 89 or up Firebird ! In the Camaro the 82-89 are similar and use the junction box, 90-92 used a dash plug rather than the junction box for power options !
