Manual To Power Windows?
Well, I really want to convert my manual windows to power windows but do not know what parts I will need. Can I just put a power motor in and wire it up with the switch and stuff or do I need to replace the track or something else? Thanks

Re: Manual To Power Windows?
Years ago, I had to replace the passenger door on an 83 T/A with power windows. Used a Camaro door the same year model, except with manual windows. We installed the motor and regulator and wiring out of the original door, and it all fit and worked fine. If my memory is correct, the door had mounting holes for both manual and power window regulators, but we had to drill a hole for the wiring to pass from the door to the door post. We drilled a pilot hole, and used a knock-out tool to cut out the correct size hole for the wire loom to pass through. Best to buy a kit, or find a good donor car with everything intact. A total conversion will be a big job! Good Luck, Charles

Re: Manual To Power Windows?
I think it would be easier to swap the entire doors, which is what I'm preparing to do now.

I have used the company below for both keyless entry & power windos on my bird. Not that expensive and everything works.
