Re: hatch motor help plzq

Sounds like your motor finally crapped out on you. The one on my '91 crapped out in the up position as well. I dealt with it this way for awhile and then got tired of water leaking into the hatch. I unplugged the connector to the motor and then plugged it back in and when I did the motor went back down but it still doesn't work. Now it won't go back up no matter what I try and that's fine by me as long as it's still in the down position so the hatch doesn't leak. Ironically, the hatch motor on my '86 TA is 100% factory original and is still working to this day. It's getting swapped out with the '91 soon since I drive the '91 more.
