All lights flicker, Ground problem maybe~Help~
Hello, When i bought my new camaro a week ago , he told me that when they swapped out the old 305 for the new 350 the ground wasn't hooked up properly somewhere?. But when the car is running all the lights flicker, from the headlights to the dome lights, every now and then it will stay on with no flicking for a few seconds then go back. Just wanted to know what i can do to track down the problem or what should i do to fix it.
Theres a brand new optimum battery so i know its not that and the battery meter is aways full so its not draining but it does flicker as well.

I have the same problem after my motor swap. Check to see if you have the ground strap from the back of the passenger head to the firewall as well as other grounds. The one on the passenger head should look like a flat silver type of wire. I'm missing it but I just tried using a neg battery cable and ran it from the driver side cylinder head to a strut tower bolt to see if grounding it would work but that made no difference. Maybe doing that won't work but I thought it should if that was the problem. Anyone have any ideas? I still think it's a ground issue but could it be the voltage regulator in the alternator?
