Tach Reads Double---Search function not working

Stock 1990 IROC 305 TPI 5spd

I know this has been discussed, but the search function seems to not be working properly. Returns way too many results and none have any of the words I search for.

Anyways, my car sat for 5 years and now the tach reads double what the engine is doing. It has the MSD stock replacement coil, no other mods. Wondering if the coil could make it read double?

Any way to split the signal so it reads properly or fix it for good?

Re: Tach Reads Double---Search function not working

theres a resistor that goes bad.. as it fails, the tach reads higher and higher.

i know what you mean about the search... but the additude seems to be "its giving some results, so its good enough"... OR "i put in a help ticket for it"...

anyway... the thread you want is here: (i have it bookmarked)
