Converting a KPH speedo to show MPH

I saw a guy on another forum use a KPH speedometer and wired it up to read in MPH. I PM'd him asking him how he did it and never got a reply after almost a week.

I imagine it couldn't be that difficult. Some type of resistor modification probably.

Anybody know how this could be achieved?

Use a ratio adapter in the speedometer cable.
