Anyone know how to hook up a KILL SWITCH?
Hello, I have a basic 2 wire kill switch that i bought but it did not come with very good directions and im clueless where to hook it up . Just wanted to see if anyone installed a Kill switch, if so What can you hook it up too? The instructions said to hook it up to the "IAC" i think, but i could not find it, it came with instructions to a v4 so im clueless. any help would be great. Thanks

Do you have a link to the product?
There are several places you can hook that up.
The IAC is a 4 wire device that controls idle. Disabling the IAC would do nothing to keep the car from starting.

The item is just a small switch, with two 10' wires to hook up to whatever application.

Depends on the load rating. HE could have bought a switch that can't handle the current required.
You can also hook it up in the cabin to the clutch wire or if automatic the park/neutral wire.

My switch looking nothing like the one in the link, the switch on mine is like 1/4 inch big, with like maybe 16/18G wire. what does the wire to the clutch look like,. , what color. This switch was suppose to be for the IAC but like he said that would not work.

It is a large purple wire. It is connected to the clutch... Take a peek.
