New MSD 8226 do not work

New MSD 8226 do not work
I brought a new MSD 8226 coil and not my car will not start up. It just turn over but do not catch. Did I do something wrong when I installed my coil. I need help, to be honest I did not tke my battery cable off before I installed my coil. Could that have messed something up with the coil? Thanks for the reply. By the way my car is 1 987 IROC 5.7 engine. An this is a remote coil.

Thats ok I figured it out. Seems that when I pull the coil wire off the coil to change it out, the distro cap wire accidently slipped off. So when I went to start the car it would only turn over. Note to self check your work when you get finish before you decide to start the car.
