Quick VATs question...
I've suspected my VATs module or its wiring is giving me a bit of grief over the past few months, but thismorning I had the car come to a complete stall on me while driving. Now theres a heap of things it COULD be but I wanted to ask anyway.
My question is; can a VATs module failure kill ignition after the car has started? Or does it only come into play once the car is running?

Re: Quick VATs question...
Nah I doubt its either of them. Its a sudden and complete loss of ignition or fuel (injectors).

Re: Quick VATs question...
Hmmm... ill have to wait untill after work (since the cars on the side of the road around the corner) but ill grab my injector tester diod thingo, and that will tell me if the injectors are fireing or not during the crank-over.
If they are, then i move onto checking spark and fuel, if they arnt then its either fuse (short), ECM or VATs.

Re: Quick VATs question...
my car was doing the same thing id be driving along 40 mhp then it would just die no bucking no nothing just 2k to 0 rpms and wouldnt start back up i reset the ecm and it seem to do the trick
Re: Quick VATs question...
I'm not a expert but it could be your fuel pump, ive had troubles with failing fuel pumps and sometimes it takes a couple months and then one day...it just dies for good. Although i could see it being the ignition switch too.
