speedometer drops
Lately when i'm driving around highway speeds my speedometer will drop drastically when i let off of the accelerator, and along with this comes a surge in the car like i tapped the brake pedal. Honestly, i have no clue where to even start looking for a problem like this, has anyone else ever experienced this, or have any clue what to check for?

Re: speedometer drops
I would start by identifying if your car has the cable speedometer,or the electrical onr. Mine had the cable one, and had the problem you describe. I add abit of ilt on the cable anf problem solve.
If is cable, make sure the cable is in good order and not sharply bent, or melted (it happened to me when I first put my headers).
If is the electical one, make sure that cable is good all the way to the tranny, and check the connection on the transmission. Check the sensosr itself... it may be clogged with oil.
