No Power To fuse Box

Transmission: M21
Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt
No Power To fuse Box

I put a new knock sensor in my 1992 TA today, and when it was all finished, I went to start it and the selonoid clicked, and then everything went out. I had this problem with my 1987 Firebird, when a plug melted on the header. But, I did the same thing to my 92 as the 87, found that big 3 prong connector near the heater box that seems to connect to nothing, and ran a wire from the red wire to the battery. This made everything work great. I walked around to try to start it, and it cranked....for about 3 seconds. Then smoke came from the starter area, and I got under it to see that one wires comming out of the fusiable link melted. I connected this to no avail. I need this car for tomorrow, so any help would be awsome!
