Conecting the sensors?
Well, I have a 1991 RS with the 305 and the 5 speed, TBI. I am swapping in a new engine, but I unplugged all the sensors, and I forgot which wire went where (Yes, I know, stupid mistake...)
Im really new at this, and my new engine is still sitting on the stand. There is a huge thing of wires, and in my mind, I dont need most of those for the car to run, but I would really like to have a temperature sensor and an oil pressure gauge. Where on the block are these sensors, and is there an easy way to ID them? Just take 12 volts to each wire and then watch which gauge springs to life?
The other thing, my alternator. I switched from the stock serpentine set up, to a V-belt setup. The inputs for the V-belt alt are a bit different, and I would just swap pullys, but I already painted the other alt to match the engine. Can someone tell me where the wires from there are suposed to go?
I feel kinda stupid here, I should know this stuff.....
