need a wiring schematic for my car
need a wiring schematic for my car
re-doing my car to make it a race car i guess... i have gutted everything in the car and i need a schematic drawn up of a light circuit for the car.
basically i have a brake switch in the car and just by looking at it it has 5 spade plugs (its the non cc one) and i also have the entire rear harness UP TO the connector on the left quarter panel (where the connector is) still in the car, so if i could get a thing with a lights "on/off" switch, and also tied into the steering columns "high / low" switch would be great.
if someone wants to go all the way and make a diagram in detail showing the battery / switchs and all the lamps that need to be lit, id be willing to pay pal them some cash....

Re: need a wiring schematic for my car
your best resource being this doesn't look all that year specific (even tho many of the years it was the same either way), off of the home page you will see a link along the left saying "tech articles". if you look down the following page you will see 1985 wiring schematics and 1986 wiring schematics (may be worded differently). That should give you many of the ideas behind the wiring. If not, if most of the switches at least are hooked up to power and ground you can always run around with a digital volt meter to see whats what. Good luck!
Re: need a wiring schematic for my car
well i think i got it squared away. i found a picture of the compleet front headlight schematic, which tbh is the easy part. the hard part is the dual filament brake lamps. but what i did is leave the entire rear harness connected up to a connector on the back left of the car. im gonna take those pins out and run MY wiring to those so i dont have to run wires to each individual bulb. just gotta figure out which ones require + and which require a ground.
