I dont know how to really explain this but im going to try my best ( go with me on this 1)....ok i have a camaro and lately the car has been tripping lately the car has been running ok you can drive it but then when you get back in it the car wont start, you can give it a jump but it wont run for long it will just die. I put a new alternator on it and my dad did the test where you take the battery out and the car keeps running i think its to see if the alternator is bad. so like i said i put a new alternator on it and did the test thing and the car dies out or just starts acting really weird . im not sure if its the wireing or whats going on i hope someone can help me because i really need my car back n good shape. its driving me crazy

 

You have a ignition/control module under the distributor cap. Take it out and have it tested. It should look like this, or very similar.
