Paperclip trick to display codes

Paperclip trick to display codes
so i was up at advanced auto before and a guy there showed me to put a paper clip in the spot to read the codes but i dont remember what pin to put it in. any ideas?

Go to home page and go to Third Gen Tech FAQ scroll down to misc last section on page under that you will see two articles one says display error codes.Hope this helps.
