90 v6 to 91 v8 instrument cluster

just completed a v6 to v8 swap and wondered if a 91 cluster will make the tach accurate. i have read elsewhere on here that a v6 tach cluster would not read too high due to the resistance.

I swapped a cluster from a V8 into my V6. You have to take out the circuit board that controls the tach and the tach gauge itself to get the correct readings. I did a post on it. I can't cut and paste the link for some reason...but it was called this. Hope this helps.

Successful 90-92 V8 to V6 cluster swap(pic).
