Hello, I'm a newby from Mexico city, just bought an 82 Z-28, carburated 305, excellent body but a real mess on the interior.A friend of mine had a 89 with a vortec V-6 and took the complete dash including all wiring and gauges among other good parts he had.Dissasembled today my dash and found my car has an ECU under the right side!!!, also found an oxigen sensor and what looks like a connector for scanning.I'm confused here!!!, howcome my car has all this electronics having a carburator???, tryed to find some extra electric/electronic parts near the carburator or distribuitor but found nothing.I'm planning to install a 350 with headers and some little mods but don't know if this ECU would interfere or what is it used for.The 89 under dash wiring arness would fit my 82 model???? Any help there??.Thanks in advance.Raul.
