Crazy speedo. MSD ignition
Crazy speedo. MSD ignition
I just put in a MSD 6al with Taylor wires and now my digital dash (Nordskog) is going crazy. The speedometer is the main problem saying I'm driving 70+ while still in park. My question is, Where can I get emi/rf suppressing wire for my electronic speedometer sending unit? I've been looking all over and still can't find any unless I buy an industrial roll of it for $1000.

Re: Crazy speedo. MSD ignition
Where is the sending wire running in relation to the MSD wiring, or spark plug
wires?
You might be able to fix this problem by wrapping a grounded wire around the
signal wires, or moving them to cross at 90 degrees to any of MSD leads (
if they are currently running in parallel bundles).

As a sheild, probably. Any sort of wrap around the signal wire, which is grounded
should improve the situation.
Using the coax/RCA as a signal wire however, I'm not too sure. It depends
how much current is used, and the gauge of the conductor.
