Car wont start

My car battery died and I jumped it off with my truck I hooked my cables on the truck up and someone else hooked up the cables on the car and did them backwards. It burn a wire beside the battery. after repairing the wire the car still would not start, it was not getting spark so I changed out the Distributer, then it wasnt getting fuel so I changed out the Fuel pump. The car is still not getting fuel with the new pump. I changed out the ECM still nothing so now I am scratching my head.

Car is a 92 Camaro RS 305 TBI.

Re: Car wont start

OK have you tested the battery? Tested the alternator output? Checked your fuses?

Does the starter activate when you turn the key?

Battery is fine, why would the altenator keep it from starting and I have checked all fuses. The starter turn the car fine just not getting fuel past the TBI.

Re: Car wont start

Wasnt sure if you had it tested...if you had a major short like that it should be tested.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key (I'm not sure if the TBI pump does this)? Do you have power to the fuel pump? Check the fuel pump relay, check all your fuses.
