high/low beam switch
Hey all of you i recently repaired my floppy steering column and messed up my head light switch ere are some pics I can take more.
where does the spring go? doesn't necessarily belong any where near there.

What does this do what should I feel when i push, pull and twist it?

Should there be something in the groove in t he dicast part of the switch there is wear from something but I do not know what.

thank you for looking

Re: high/low beam switch
The second picture shows the hi/lo beam switch actuating rod. It transfers the movement of the multifunction switch stalk to the hi/lo beam switch down under the dash, atop of the steering column.
If I am not mistaken, it fits the groove that your third picture shows. The multifunction switch stalk pushes on the rod when you pull it towards you.
Hope this helps.

Re: high/low beam switch
thanks for the info but I just fixed it but you were right on the money the spring I figured out was from the horn button wire I thought it went with the part in picture 3 that is what had me confused on there.
The rod fell out of the switch and worked fine when I replaced it.
