spedometer wires crossed?
spedometer wires crossed?
Got a '91 RS Camaro with electronic speedo and VSS in trans. I just installed a 305 TBI and 700r4 from a pull-a-part. Problem is that the previous owner hacked out the wires on the old VSS and TCC when they pulled the motor and trans before I got ahold of it. I went to splice the wires in the harness to the wires on the plugs and noticed there are 2 purple wires hanging there, one for VSS and one for TCC. How am I suppose to know which is which? I tried them one way and the speedo didn't work, so I swapped them and the speedo still doesn't work. I do have power at the purple and tan(I think*) wires at the VSS Buffer inside car. What do I check now?? Fuse? Wrong VSS? I know the RPO for my car's VSS is D8N. How do I check the one that's in the junkyard trans? PLEASE HELPPPP
