Well I've been following the culprit of my popping "antenna" relay. I caught it today. Only problem I can't get to it. It's my Passenger side switch in the door jam. I took the kicker panel off to get to it and what I found out was my stock "heat shrink" or w/e it is had eaten through the wire connections and my wire has fallen down inside the car grounding and popping my relay everytime I put a new one in.....I've spent my one free day of the week working on this **** thing and I still cant get to my wire....anybody got an idea or can possibly relate? Thanks in advance,
John

You're referring to the pin switch in the door jamb that turns on the interior light? It is removed from the outside of the jamb by using a wrench or deep socket. Once you've unscrewed it carefully pull it out and you'll find the spade terminal of the hot wire attached to the backside of the switch. As I recall one side has two terminals on it (both hot) the other side has just one.

hahah yes thats it! Unfortunately, I got to where the wire was supposed to be. I took off my kicker panel and behind one of those tar like substances there was a service access hole. The wire had been rubbing against that "tar" and somehow it ate through it. So, now my bare wire (s) is/are grounding on the chassis between to walls. I must have gotten close to it yesterday because it shorted more things out before I got it to the dealership, like my trunk release button. But the problem is I'm only allowed to use the dealership for mechanical (engine) problems because of cost. My dad has me do anything and everything before them. Honestly, I don't mind that, I enjoy it. But, I don't think I'm going to be able to get to that wire and my dad just says cut it but I can't bring myself to do that......even if I could find where it was coming from.

Once you find the wire pull the switch and run a fish tape or coat hanger through the hole and tape the wire to it. Pull the wire out the hole and plug it into the swith. Then reinstall the switch. Make sure the plug is tight on the switch or it will come off again. You can crimp it with pliers if necessary.
