1986 Firebird Rear hatch wireing.....
Hey guys I beleive I have a bad connection/motor on my rear hatch. Does anyone have a wireing diagram for it?
didnt see one in the stickies.
What it does is sit there and try to pull the hatch down more when its already shut and when I open the hatch the assembly doesnt come back up without time and a lot of coaxing.....
Thanks in advance.

I might be able to help ya out a lil bit, i think the pulling down problem might or could be an adjustment issue. have you ever messed with that? and also if its having trouble pulling downt he motor has small gears it turns to raise and lower, u might be stripping out the grears. I changed the motor in mine and i've had no problems. there are wiring diagrams on the internet. Just google it and im sure it will come up. Im not sure if this address is still good but try this http://92b4crs.tripod.com/86wiring/86wiringindex.html Thats where i went. Hopefully it helps you

It tries to pulll the hatch down too far and the motor tries to keep pulling. It drains the battery. i just disconnected the power to it for right now.
How do I adjust the edpoints? Or the engaugement switch?
Thanks!

Anybody have a pic of how this pull down unit is mounted? I'm in the middle of a conversion on my 85 and would like to see how it's attached.....I may use a flat piece of sheet metal as a base....but need something to go by.
