power to the horn buttons?

How does the power flow from the horn relays to the buttons in the steering wheel? Is there something like brushes (like on a el.motor) in there for the turning moves of the steering wheel or is it just a (curly) cable?
I have the airbag-steering wheel if that matters.

I just happened to have a spare horn button on my desk, so I snapped a couple photos. It's just a spring loaded contact, that rides on a copper ring in the column. On this horn (gta radio button one), the horn is just 2 metal plates with foam between them.





Horn contact ring looks something like this:
